Earlier this month, the AMOR Wellness Center was chosen as a distribution site for the Pass the Love with Waffles + Mochi campaign, in partnership with Central California Food Bank, Fresno Economic Opportunities Commission, and Partnership for a Healthier America. The campaign was championed by former First Lady Michelle Obama and had the goal of distributing one million meals made from healthy and fresh ingredients to families facing food insecurity across the country.

Meal kits that included recipes and ingredients for Char Roasted Broccoli Parmesan, one pan Spaghetti Pomodoro, and Potato Massaman Curry meals were distributed to 100 families in Mendota!

Waffles + Mochi is a beloved cooking show on Netflix that features the former First Lady. In the series, Waffles + Mochi travel the world showing families how to cook healthy and delicious meals together. The show inspired Partnership for a Healthier America to bring the meals to the people, and therefore Pass the Love with Waffles + Mochi became a reality.
